  Guillermo Merlo & Fernanda Ghi
Guillermo y Fernanda Adding fuel to the Tango fire.

If you wish to look around for the "next" big, big stars of performance Tango and teaching - look no further.

It happens I've known Guillermo since 1990, when he was a young star in the Copes company. He went on to "Forever Tango," then he and Fernanda found each other and he really started to come into his own (in the Tango way!) Guillermo has a fast and athletic style and is a polished stage performer - but really he just loves to dance (this is meant as an ultimate compliment).

Fernanda is an extraordinary woman; creative, gifted, blessed with talent and skills.

Their classes are worth so full of value and insight. They teach things others either never thought of or weren't able to conceive. They do workshops that bring your body along with your mind, so to speak.

Of particular note is their ability to communicate how partners communicate.

With their stage work, they push the boundaries in ways that astonish. They exude strength, style, character, humor and personality. They are living and making a history that is adding excitement and depth to the Tango world.

Fernanda and Guillermo have been featured with the dance companies of "Tango Vivo" and "Tangoing" and in the Sony Productions video "Tango Magic." They've been instructors at the CITO Congress in Buenos Aires, Nora's Tango Week 2000 and 2001 in San Francisco, U.S.T. Congress in Miami, London International Tango Festival, and the International Tango Festival in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

In September 1999, they competed in the IDO Ballroom World Championships in Miami Beach and earned the title of World Champions in the Argentine Tango Division.
