"From Romania, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Argentina and Québec, musicians now living in Montreal are contributing to the Soana debut CD in the making.

We are drawing on the histories and talents of many lands; fusing ideas and cultures because it seems like that's what the times call for. It's what we are inspired to do. New inspiration ... current inclinations. Sometimes in English, sometimes in French or Romanian.

It happens that aspects and echoes of Romanian folk music are present in many kinds of music - from Gypsy to Klesmer to Flamenco and then on to Argentine Tango. One can hear these links in the music of Soana.

In our music you'll hear those echoes of the old world and echoes of the new. Perhaps you'll dance, you'll laugh ... even cry.

We only hope you enjoy!"
