"Dear Sis"
Author: Simona Gandrabur

Remember how we used to play?
We'd laugh and chat for hours.
A kiss would blow all pain away
And all the world was ours.
When did the years fly by so fast?
What happened to our dreams?
You longed for treasures from the past
And I to reach new realms.
I left to find my path in life,
To make it on my own.
I learned so much, felt so alive,
Yet far away from home.
...
Dear Sis, I've searched for love, for fame and recognition
Instead I found some friends and some appreciation.
I searched so far to find myself, to give my live a meaning.
And now I know that close to home that's where I'm belonging.
...
I traveled dreaming that my art
Be known by all man-kind.
Instead I've touched some peoples' heart
And likewise they touched mine.
And now there's nothing left to prove,
I've got to sing my songs.
I'm tired of being on the move,
I know where I belong.
So, even though I am content,
I'm weary and alone.
It's time for to pack my tent,
Dear Sis, I'm coming home.
...
Dear Sis, I've searched for love, for fame and recognition
Instead I found some friends and some appreciation.
I searched so far to find myself, to give my live a meaning.
And now I know that close to home that's where I'm belonging.
